However, part-time employees and employees who joined the company during the year are also entitled. They receive the 13th month&#8217;s salary pro rata to the time worked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Attendance: <\/strong>Days of absence due to illness, accident or unpaid leave can be the reason for a lower entitlement. These absences are often taken into account on a pro rata basis in order to calculate the amount of the 13th month&#8217;s salary fairly.
