A fiduciary job that fits you

Do you want real freedom in your work, without the constraints of a traditional fiduciary firm? Are you looking for a role where you can structure your day in a way that makes sense for you, instead of following fixed office hours?

Nexova is the first fully remote fiduciary firm in Switzerland and offers startups and SMEs digital accounting, payroll accounting, and tax advisory services.

We are looking for an Accountant who is eager to learn and wants to build their career in a modern, digital fiduciary environment. You will work closely with experienced Client Advisors, take on real accounting responsibilities from day one, and develop your skills in a team that supports your growth. With time and experience, the path to Junior Client Advisor is a natural next step.

Being a Accountant at Nexova

At Nexova, Accountants work on real client mandates from the start. You’ll build your skills in a fully digital environment, supported by colleagues who are invested in your development.

Hands-on from the start

You’ll manage client accounts, prepare documents for Client Advisors, and support payroll administration across a portfolio of startup and SME clients. The work is varied, the tools are modern, and the people around you know their stuff.

Modern tools, less friction

We work in a fully paperless environment with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at the centre. Automated workflows and clean digital processes mean less time on administration and more time on work that actually develops your skills.

Part of a team that shares what it knows

The culture here is open. People ask questions, share knowledge, and support each other across mandates. You’ll have colleagues to think out loud with, and the expectation that you’ll do the same for them.

Your mission

Excited team member ready to take on new challenges at Nexova
  • Bookkeeping You manage client accounts independently, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Financial statements and tax returns You assist with interim and annual financial statements per OR, and prepare tax returns for natural and legal persons
  • Swiss regulatory compliance You prepare and submit VAT returns (MWST), conduct annual reconciliations, and handle social insurance declarations
  • Payroll and client support You handle payroll and personnel administration for client mandates, and support Client Advisors in day-to-day client management
  • Help shape our processes You challenge existing workflows, contribute your own ideas, and help actively shape the future of digital fiduciary services
  • Career development You have the opportunity to grow into a Junior Client Advisor role and, if interested, pursue further qualification toward the Federal Diploma in Fiduciary

Your profile

Two colleagues holding picture frames — representing how you fit into the Nexova team

Professional qualifications:

  • Commercial apprenticeship (KV) with training in fiduciary or accounting (Sachbearbeiter Treuhand or Sachbearbeiter Rechnungswesen), or currently working toward one
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in fiduciary or accounting
  • Digitally savvy and familiar with common fiduciary and accounting software; knowledge of Business Central is an advantage
  • Excellent German skills and solid English for communication with our international clients

Personal strengths:

  • You work independently and organise your work without constant supervision
  • You communicate proactively and address problems early rather than letting them sit
  • You enjoy working remotely and value flexible working hours
  • Freedom, quality, transparency, and responsibility are values you live by
  • A genuine willingness to learn and develop your skills

When it might not be the right fit:

  • If you need a traditional office structure to be productive, you may struggle with us
  • If you prefer detailed instructions and rigid processes, you will likely find it challenging here
  • If you are looking for a stable, unchanging role, this is probably not the right place—we are still in a building phase

Working remotely does not mean working alone. In Basel, we have created a workspace you can use whenever you want a day of focused work or time with colleagues.

The office sits directly opposite Basel SBB, with natural light, adjustable desks, monitors, a kitchen, and space to collaborate comfortably.

People come because the space helps them work well, not because they have to. That is the atmosphere we want the page to communicate too.

No. Depending on the role, part of the onboarding may take place in our office in Basel to help you get started. After that, you can work from wherever you like. You might enjoy the office enough to come in regularly and collaborate with colleagues, but you can just as easily work from home or another location.

We mainly work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for accounting, as well as Notion for team collaboration and documentation. We're happy to discuss additional tools during the interview. Everything is fully digital and cloud-based.

You'll be closely supported during your first weeks. You'll have access to structured onboarding materials with video guides covering our processes and tools. In addition, you'll have regular check-ins with your manager and stay in close contact with your colleagues as you get up to speed.

In principle, you need to be based in Switzerland, especially during the first six months. After that, shorter stays abroad may be possible depending on the situation and by agreement. However, we must comply with Swiss labor and tax regulations.

Mistakes happen—that's human. What matters is how we handle them. If something doesn't go as planned, address it early and we'll find a solution together.

Mainly startups and SMEs: technology companies, consulting firms, financial service providers, and many more. They are building something and need reliable, modern fiduciary services that can keep up with their growth. Many are led by international founders who are navigating the Swiss business environment for the first time.

You work independently, but you're not on your own. You'll have regular exchange with your manager, can reach out to colleagues when needed, and we have weekly team check-ins. You have the space to work your own way, with support around you when you need it.

We offer competitive salaries in line with your qualifications and experience. Exact figures depend on your background and are discussed openly during the interview process.

The natural next step is Junior Client Advisor, where you begin managing smaller client relationships independently, handling bookkeeping and payroll for your own mandates, and taking ownership of client work from end to end. Beyond that, there is a clear path through Client Advisor, Senior Client Advisor, and into leadership roles.
